From a8cfd74d4c8a96b0709392f1b7472544b1985213 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tadas Antanavicius Date: Sat, 24 May 2025 06:07:08 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Remove package_canonical (#59) I originally introduced `package_canonical` into the API schema because, at the time, we were thinking to "pin" the version of the MCP server to _one_ of the referenced source code packages. We are no longer doing this (we are maintaining a separate notion of `version` unique to the MCP server), so I don't believe `package_canonical` is needed anymore. Does anyone see otherwise? This change removes all mentions in READMEs and usages in code. --- README.md | 2 - api/README.md | 3 - api/openapi.yaml | 4 - data/seed_2025_05_16.json | 464 -------------------------------------- internal/model/model.go | 1 - scripts/test_publish.sh | 1 - tools/publisher/mcp.json | 1 - 7 files changed, 476 deletions(-) diff --git a/README.md b/README.md index 9bfd533..b6d89ff 100644 --- a/README.md +++ b/README.md @@ -157,7 +157,6 @@ Response example: "release_date": "2025-05-16T19:13:21Z", "is_latest": true }, - "package_canonical": "docker", "packages": [ { "registry_name": "docker", @@ -205,7 +204,6 @@ Request body example: { "description": "", "name": "io.github./", - "package_canonical": " "$PAYLOAD_FILE" << EOF "url": "https://github.com/example/test-mcp-server", "branch": "main" }, - "package_canonical": "test-mcp-server", "registries": [ { "name": "npm", diff --git a/tools/publisher/mcp.json b/tools/publisher/mcp.json index 9d8a8d1..2f5ca6d 100644 --- a/tools/publisher/mcp.json +++ b/tools/publisher/mcp.json @@ -1,7 +1,6 @@ { "description": "", "name": "io.github./", - "package_canonical": "
