# debug-trace
[![standard-readme compliant](https://img.shields.io/badge/readme%20style-standard-brightgreen.svg?style=flat-square)](https://github.com/RichardLitt/standard-readme)
Dated run directories for Verae MCP timestamping HTTP traces (HTML viewer, JSON, markdown).
Each run is `debug-trace/<YYYY-MM-DDTHHMMSSZ>-<slug>/`. Time is UTC. `scripts/transaction_log_test.py` creates a new directory per run.
## Install
```sh
cd /Users/marchon/research/modelcontextprotocol/verae-mcp-timestamping-server
uv sync --group dev
```
## Usage
Re-run (new UTC directory each time; 20 global stamps of `Verae-Debug-Test`; needs `~/.verae/auth.properties`):
```sh
cd /Users/marchon/research/modelcontextprotocol/verae-mcp-timestamping-server
uv run python scripts/transaction_log_test.py
open debug-trace/<newest-run>/transaction-log-test.html
```
Latest saved run:
```sh
open debug-trace/2026-09-20T143541Z-verae-debug-test/transaction-log-test.html
```
After git check-ins in this repo, Grok asks whether to re-run that script.
## Contributing
Questions: this research workspace. Keep traces in dated run dirs; do not write `transaction-log-test.html` at the repo root.
